What a Difference a Day Makes.

Within the slow moving beast that is our home addition project, there are portions that are significant, and move quickly. June 1st and 2nd fall into that category. New space isn't "real" until you're able to occupy it. I'll let the photos, a series of before and after pictures, speak for themselves.

June 1st, just finished cleaning up after 3 days of installing doors and trim. (That's airborne dust causing the interference in the picture) June 2nd pix taken less than 24 hours later after carpet installation, and the addition of furniture.

We spent the night in the new master bedroom. Ditto the two older boys in their new rooms.
As Homer would say "Woo Hoo".

Oh my gosh, I love the glass blocks, and the windows where you can see nothing but green trees! That must be very tranquil. :-D

Thanks. One of the reasons we chose a glass block window (and that's actually a pre-made window unit that you'd mount like any other window) is because we wanted the light from the South to enter the room, but wanted privacy from the deck on the other side of the wall. Actually glass blocks figure in as part of a continuous theme throughout the house. We'll be installing a glass block floor segment in a stairwell landing, glass block sidelights for the front door, and glass blocks in another wall to allow light into a basement area. BTW you have to like green in this house. Our master bathroom is done in green, and as we're surrounded by woods...well...you get the picture.
